RFR was formed in response to the public health crisis of adverse childhood experiences and seeks to address the ongoing stress that many of us face every day. The easy-to-use strategies that we offer are intended for anyone to use as we work to prevent future adversity and help people stay healthy and connected during tough times believing that everyone has the ability to deepen their resilience and experience better days.
Flamboyan selected 11 public school teachers in DC – from early childhood to high school – to design and implement innovative family engagement strategies at their schools. During the 15-month fellowship, fellows received coaching, professional development, and collaborated with one another as they worked to create solutions tailored to the meet the unique needs of their school community.
